The devil loves to use False Expectations, because Disappointment has slain more Christians than any other enemy!
Better To Suffer Disappointment Here Than At The Judgement.

Whose Approval You Seek Will Determine The Reward You Will Receive!
Men do not easily grow out of this longing for others’ approval.
No one likes to be thought weird, to be socially outcast, to be ignored or discounted.
The tragedy is that sometimes the applause of the crowd drowns out the approval of the Master.

[15] And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
Covetousness is desiring what others have! Be careful because wanting what they have is a trap of eternal anxiety, it will always remain just out of your reach.
It’s not the endless abundance of things, but rather the quality experiences that bring contentment. Your Life Is Defined in Who You Are Not What You Have.

[27] The slothful man roasteth not that which he took in hunting: but the substance of a diligent man is precious.
There is No gratification or appreciation when you can’t savor what you didn’t earn.
Contrary to the diligent who savors the reward of things hard fought for.

Proverbs 13:7 (KJV)
[7] There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.
It appears that those in pursuit of riches will find themselves poor.
Rather than their counterpart who seeks to give away in pursuit of emptying what he has and finds himself rich.

-You bring nothing into this world and you will take nothing with you when you die!
But all that you do in between will determine where you will spend eternity!
What You Do Today Is More Important Than What You Get.
