Lessening Sin’s Power

Philippians 4:8

[8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Most Battles are Won and or Lost within the Battlefield of the Mind…

You Are (or will become)What You Think and or Think on…

Much like over eating junk food, your bodies (become) what you have fed it…

If you feed your mind (thinking is feeding) food that is not Spiritual

Is it no wonder that you become Unspiritual?

But if you discipline (control) your natural-(cravings of the flesh) and Feed your Mind “Spiritual” food, then you will become more of what you have eaten…

The Power of Sin in One’s Life is often determined by-

Our Thinking….

Lessen the Power of Sin in your life today…

Start by Thinking on what the scriptures have advised!

Proverbs 5:22

 (His own iniquities) shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.

The Blame Game- has become Epidemic in this Generation…

“It’s not my fault”

Whether Blaming Others or Our Circumstances

We as a people have become adept at not being Responsible for Our Own Actions and or Decisions…

Much to the devil’s delight, because until we “Own” our decisions and choices there is no chance of (change) or Help.

We Are (Holden with the Cords) of Our Own Sin…

What is holding you back today is your own sin and refusal to accept that (We are the Architects and Designers) of our futures and present situation…

Then and Only Then can you approach the Master for help…

He (God) only fixes what is confessed…

Could It Be?

⁃ Could it be… that God requires Effort on our part?

⁃ Could it be… that there is a unique combined contribution (Us and God) required that creates “True relationship?”

⁃ Could it be… that service toward God without “Struggle” negate the Beauty of Overcoming Victory?

2 Corinthians 12:7-9

[7] And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

[8] For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

[9] And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

*If God Removed the (one thing) or what is your greatest Hindrance, Temptation and or Weakness in serving Him,

would not that (altar) the “beauty” of us serving Him?

We cry, “God if only you would remove this I could really serve you”.

And you think that if only you could overcome this constant repeated (problem) then it would be Nirvana!

The problem is then it would be an (Altered Us)

Not an (Overcoming-Us)…

Serving Him!

I submit that Some things (must remain) as a constant Reminder-

⁃ We need Him

⁃ We depend on Him

⁃ We are not to be overly Exalted

And Though all is not Perfect, We Have Revelation-

That God’s “Grace” is Sufficient…

He Will Give Us the Grace to Make it-

Regardless of “Our” Thorn in the Flesh…

Hem Miracles

Matthew 14:36

And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and (as many) as touched were made perfectly whole.

Not only the woman with the issue of blood received a miracle from Jesus by touching the hem of his garment,

But (Many Others) did too!

Faith was the first key ingredient

The “Action” to do something was combined into a winning Result…

Adding to your Faith, your willingness to put into action, your words can produce a Miracle!

“They were made perfectly whole”

If you have “Faith” then proceed with action…

Reach Out to Him, Until You Touch Him-(Hem Miracles)

You don’t need an Audience with the Master

You Only Need to Touch the (Hem) of His Garment (the outer edge).

You Don’t Even Need His Attention

You Only Need to Touch the (Hem)

Rather than sit there today awaiting an Audience or Even the Attention of God

Try putting into Action your Faith…

⁃ By Reaching beyond your comfort zone

⁃ By Praying through the fog

⁃ By Fasting your flesh into submission

⁃ By Fighting past the Obstacles

Somewhere in the Midst, just beyond your statement of Faith Let “Action”

Take you to the (Hem) of His garment and receive your Miracle!

DURING YOUR WORST STORM

Manasseh and Ephraim

Genesis 41:51-52

[51] And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.

[52] And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

Job was Known for his Trials

Joseph was Known for His (Trying) and (Providing)…

Joseph, A Captive in a Foreign Land Rises to Ruler!

But in the Midst of His Exile from all that was Familiar

God Sends Him Two Sons-

“Manasseh and Ephraim”

⁃ He said of Manasseh “God hath made me to *Forget”         Forget all my struggles and what I miss about home…

⁃ He said of Ephraim “God hath caused me to be *Fruitful”          In the very World that has Afflicted Me…

Have you considered?

That God Not Only Can Bring You Your Very Own

(Manasseh and Ephraim)

During Your Worst Storm?

*But Be Preparing (You) to (Provide) Help One Day

For the Very People Who Betrayed You?

Don’t throw in the towel yet, because it may be…

That there’s  a “Manasseh or Ephraim” around the next bend in the road….

Known

Mathew 12:33

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for *(the tree is known by his fruit).

Known-Past participle for Know: recognized or familiar

The key here is not the fruit but rather the (Tree)

The pharisees were making accusations against Jesus

not the miracle (fruit).

Discounting Christ as not good even though He just produced a Miracle (fruit)

Jesus knowing their evil inconsistencies was pointing out Their Error!

“Either make the (Tree)-Good, because the fruit was Good”

Or

“Make the (Tree)-Corrupt and It’s Fruit corrupt”…

The Miracle was proof of Christ’s Goodness!

The Same Can Be Said of Us!

You Are (Known) by Your Fruit-

All recognize you by what you produce not what you say!

In other words Jesus was saying “You’re really attacking Me” not  the Miracle-(Good)

But your conclusion (to attack me) is skewed and (inconsistent)

Because…

A Good Tree Produces Good Fruit

A Corrupt Tree Produces Corrupt Fruit

“the tree is (known) by his fruit”

The Early Bird Gets a Worm

Proverbs 19:2

2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

Or-

AMPLIFIED

2 Desire without knowledge is not good, and to be overhasty is to sin and miss the mark.

Being First is Not Always Best…

Unless you like worms?

⁃ Desire unequipped without Knowledge can be a disaster

⁃ Zeal is Important but it is not Everything

⁃ Movement doesn’t always mean Moving

⁃ Being 1st may bring Regrets

Starting Without Knowledge Might Just Leave You With Worms…

Pray-Listen-Plan-Research-Execute

This may take a little longer, but well worth the wait…
