Being Saved is Better Than Getting Even

Proverbs 20:22

22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

Getting Even Often Ends in a Catastrophic Event…

The fervor of passion when having been done wrong can blind you from a cliff’s edge…

While chasing retribution you might very well find yourself free falling from a cliff’s edge.

Better to have the Lord “Save You”  and then not worry about the one who offended you.

Because being “Saved” from Peril is better than Sweet Revenge…

Let the Lord handle the Revenge part and be Content with “Salvation”

CHAMPIONS ARE HELPLESS

Ps 34:10

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Lions Are the King of the Jungle and Considered the Most Fierce Among Predators!

Champions of the Animal Kingdom…

And yet even among the young lions who are the most anxious in battle suffer hunger…

You May Champion One Area of Your Life and Even Be Considered by Others a Champion,

But Still End Up Hungry…

And Yet The “Needy” People you Despise as Weak and Incapable Live Better Than Any “Champion”

Because the Lord Shall Make Them

(Not Want for Any Good Thing)

The Key Here Is-

While You’re Out Proving Your Champion-ness

They Are “SEEKING THE LORD”

Because Needy People Need…

*So They Seek the Lord!

Beyond Your Failure

Luke 22:31-34

[31] ¶ And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

[32] But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and

*(when thou art converted), strengthen thy brethren.

[33] And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.

[34] And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

“Eminent Domain” or “Eminent Failure”

Both fall under a greater authority!

But the third one is “Eminent Recovery”

Not to be confused with predestination!

We all have a choice…

But in God’s beautiful plan, he has provided a place to recover along with every place of human failure.

Man is destined to failure, but God has also destined us to a probable  Recovery.

The choice is yours!

Fall and fold or

Fall and get back up…

God Is In Control

Jeremiah 32:27 (KJV)

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

⁃ We need to hear that God is still in control.

⁃ We need to hear that it's not over until he says so.

⁃ We need to hear that life's mishaps and tragedies are not a reason to bail out.

They Are Simply a Reason to Sit Tight…

Repentance Requires Action

Revelation 2:5

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and

**do the first works** or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

I once read somewhere that if something is worth doing right the 1st time, you should create a habit of doing it right every time..

When you find yourself “away” from God

You should not look for a new and improved  way to return!

The 1st Works Got You There and They Are Sure to Get You Back There…

You will not “Grow” back, but you must “Go” Back! This requires Action and Moving from Where You Are to Where You Left…

Start “Doing”-

⁃ Repent

⁃ Pray

⁃ Fast

⁃ Witness

It Worked in the Beginning and It Will Work Again, even though it is a simple formula…

Asking Not Wishing

Jeremiah 6:16

16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and *ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Asking is putting legs on a wish…

To Wish is Thoughtful and Hopeful Only.

Whereas “Asking” is Making a Wish Become Probable, by Making the Request!

“You have not because you ask not”

⁃ New Homes

⁃ New Spouse

NO NO and NO…

OR

Old Path Requests-

⁃ Holy Ghost Power

⁃ New Souls

⁃ More Church

⁃ More Preaching

⁃ Save Your Family

⁃ Save Your Friends

YES YES and YES!!!

Stop Wishing and Start Asking!

Bombard heaven With Prayers…

You Cannot Always Choose “What” Angers You” But, You Can Choose “How”

You Will Respond to “What” Happens to You…

Discretion is Exchanging an Emotion for Wisdom…

It Is Considering 1st, Reacting 2nd.

It is Better said as “Act” not “React”

There is a Major Difference…

Your “Glory” is the ability to choose instead of respond…This is an Attribute to be Desired and Sought After!
