Strangers and Pilgrims

Hebrews 11:13-14 (KJV)

[13] These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

-IMPORTANT NEXT VERSE-

[14] *For they that say such things (declare plainly) that they seek a country.

Strangers and Pilgrims mean:
Foreigners and Exiles on this earth.
We’re here but only temporarily!
Seeking a Country of Our Own.

Don’t Get Too Comfortable, 
Jesus is Coming For Those That Are His.

Don’t Blend In So Much That He Doesn’t Recognize You From The Locals.

A Good Indicator of That Happening Is When The Locals Think You’re One of Them.

The Distinction of A True Disciple

Mark 10:28 (KJV)

[28] ¶ Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee.

Commitment is not fragmented nor in stages but it is measured by it’s Entirety! 

True Discipleship Begins With One’s Commitment.

True Christians (Disciples) Are Distinguished Not By Name or Declaration,

But Rather by What They Didn’t Bring From Home.

How Will You End?

Ecclesiastes 7:8 (KJV)

[8] Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof:

There is a saying, “There’s No Fool Like An Old Fool”

Don’t Erase All Your Good By Not Ending As You Started In God!

Take note:

At The End of Your Journey God Will Judge You,  (Not When) You Got The Holy Ghost But Rather If You Still Have It At The End.

[38] And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? [39] Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

Sometimes We Need A Reminder When We Are Troubled and Thoughts of Doubt Arise.

The Next Service Go With Expectation And When You Feel That Glory, Your Doubts Will Erase and Your Fears Relieved!

God Knows Where You Are

John 1:48 (KJV)

[48] Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.

Never let doubt and fear convince you that you are all alone!  The spirit of hell alienates people to where they feel all alone.

Where the spirit of God gathers them in together to be part of a family!

God not only knows where you are but He sees you today.

The Tragedy of Peter

[23] But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Be careful that what you’re passionate about does not distract - from the direction God Is Headed

•Man is Concerned in the earthly

•God is Concerned in the heavenly

Don’t Let The devil Lie To You

2 Timothy 3:12 (KJV)

[12] Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

-The affliction began early: “from my youth,” and it continued late… Spurgeon

The earliest years of Israel and of the church of God were spent in trial.  “Babes In Grace Are Cradled In Opposition.”

The devil loves to use False Expectations, because Disappointment has slain more Christians than any other enemy!

Better To Suffer Disappointment Here Than At The Judgement.
