A legend from India tells about a mouse who was terrified of cats until a magician agreed to transform him into a cat. That resolved his fear ... until he met a dog, so the magician changed him into a dog. The mouse-turned-cat-turned-dog was content until he met a tiger-so, once again, the magician changed him into what he feared. But when the tiger came complaining that he had met a hunter, the magician refused to help. "I will make you into a mouse again, for though you have the body of a tiger, you still have the heart of a mouse."

It is Devotion-Naked devotion!

They expected nothing in return...

Devotion Will Carry You Beyond The Limits...

Devoted People Are Not Motivated by The Moment Nor The Reward!

Loaves and Fish People Are Motivated...

As with food it is Temporary!

Devoted People Are Permanent Regardless of The Outcome...

Jesus Was Devoted

Judas Was Motivated...

Don't Lose Hope - Your Anchor

Hebrews 6:18-19 (KJV)

[18] That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to (lay hold upon the hope) set before us:

[19] (Which hope) we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

. A symbol points beyond itself to something significant.

. The flag of the United States symbolizes the fifty current states with stars and the thirteen original states with bars.

. The symbol of the Christian faith is the cross, which points unerringly to the central doctrine of Christianity-The Anchor.

Hope Is An Anchor!

Without Hope There Is No Anchor...

Without an Anchor You Will Drift Wherever The Current Takes You!

An Anchor (Hope) Keeps You At The Desired Destination!

Too Many Lose Hope and Thus Drift Aimlessly...

Don't Let The Devil Steal Your Hope!

But Who Can Stand Before Envy?

Proverbs 27:4 (KJV)

[4] Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?

Envy is just another word for Jealousy....

Which Is Far More Dangerous Than Wrath and Anger!

Envy/Jealousy Will Destroy and Destruct More Than These Other Seemingly Very Bad Evils...

Because Envy/Jealousy is not so easily detected, as it hides in the heart among your feelings...

It can hibernate for years and then rise up and bite with the venom of a cobra...

It can reside and hide on the pew and even the platform at church...

You see, it not only destroys those that have what you want but it poisons the host-(you)...

If Left Unchallenged If Can Wipe Out Your Family and Your Church!

Who Can Stand Before Envy-(Jealousy)?

No One...

Don't Let This Spirit Be In You!

Too Many These Days Feel They Don't Need A Pastor...

. A Good Advisor

. A Golfing Buddy

. A Mentor

. A Friend

These Are Sufficient...

But Are They?

Only A True Pastor/Man of God

Would Stand Between a Rebellious People and an Angry God...

Those Others Can Be Bought, Hired and Favored In,

I'd Rather Have A Man of God Stand Between Me and an Angry God When I Have Done Foolishly!

Also-A Hireling Will Flee When The Wolf Comes...

But A Shepherd Will Risk His Own Life to Protect The Sheep!

When God Can't Forget You

Ephraim had received some of the strongest rebukes and coming judgments from God in the Old Testament...

And Yet We Find God Pausing In A Weak Moment Relating His Love and Mercy Toward Him!

How Is That?

Who Knows... It Would Take Someone Who Understood God's Infinite Immeasurable Depths of "Hope"

That Somehow In The Final Moments Before Axe Falls Into Its Final Descent of Death-

God Pauses With "Hope"

That You Might Repent At The Last Moment?
