Requests- Self-serving or Enriching?

And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

Often Our Prayer Requests Are More About Our Wants Than Our Needs…

Have You Ever Considered That There May Be Another Entire Dimension in God We’re Missing?

Requesting God to Show Us “His Glory”

When He Did This for Moses Upon His Request

It Changed His Life in Ways That (Immediate Needs and Wants)-(which are temporary fixes)

Could Never!

By this One Request

Moses Was Given The History of Genesis to Write- from the Beginning…

Wow!

He was able to not need food or water for 40 days-

(Humanly Impossible)

What are we missing that God would reveal and bless by being imprisoned by our selfish short lasting requests?

Lord- Show Me (Thy) Glory…

I really believe that our immediate short lists would dissipate-

Life is About Choices

Joshua 24:15 (KJV)

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, *(choose you this day) whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Contrary to modern dogma we are not Victims!

We are not Helpless pawns in a game…

Life is not so much directed by what happens but rather by-

“Our Choices”

No one can help what happens in life but you do have the power to choose how you deal with it!

Israel couldn’t decide between their enemies faith and their present distress-

Neither their Father’s decisions-

But they did have a Choice in whom they would serve!

What Your Family Did in the Past is not Relevant!

What You Choose Is!

What Will You Choose Today?

To Ignore Wisdom is to destroy yourself in spiritual suicide!

Ask God for Wisdom and Your Life Will Be Blessed

Proverbs 8:35 (KJV)

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

Wisdom-

Is Like Possessing Knowledge and Facts-And Having the ability to make the right decision.

Just Collecting Knowledge is not Enough-

It’s like having all the instruments for surgery and not knowing how to use them…

A long life is like collecting events and experiences and knowledge-

And yet not all old men are wise-

*There’s no fool like an old fool…

Whoso finds Wisdom

Will find Life and Favor

of The Lord-

This is Better than Riches

and Success…

Ask for Wisdom-

And everything else will take care of itself…

Integrity

Genesis 39:9 (KJV)

There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: *How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

Joseph had “Integrity”

Integrity- Cannot Be Learned nor Purchased…

Integrity-

The Quality of being honest and having strong moral principles…

There is no school that it can be learned by a degree.

People When Faced With Tempting Choices- “Integrity” will Choose…

Do it or not?

People with “Integrity” do not have to look to see who is watching…

Because It Is Something Down Inside You…

Joseph was all alone away from friends and family, in a strange land…

But “True Integrity”

Knows that God though not visible is always watching…

If we are God Conscious then it becomes the Compass of the Heart-

So wherever I go the Compass of Integrity will point me in the Right Direction.

⁃ Character

Personality is what you are in front of people-

Character is what you are when you’re all alone…

Be a Part of the Solution not the Problem

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (KJV)

4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way.

It is not irritable, and

(it keeps no record of being wronged.)

Fear Not

Deuteronomy 31:6 (KJV)

Be strong and of a good courage, (fear not), nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

*365 Times-Fear Not…

One for Every Day!

The psalmist reminds us that God has promised His Presence and Protection.

When we Trust in God, we know He's in control, so there is no reason to be afraid.

In fact, the Bible records 365 times when God says,

"Fear not, for I am with you."

⁃ God Will Go with You

⁃ God Will not Fail You

⁃ God Will not Forsake You
