The Greatest Destination

(Jn 6:35)

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Destination- a set point whether in distance physically or spiritually…

Jesus stated “he that cometh to me”

Meaning we are not there yet…

But if we will begin to travel in that direction, when we get there-

We shall “Never Hunger”

There is no other place like this Destination!

And along the Journey to this Destination and or upon arrival to this Destination

The word “and” -translated-(moreover or also)

“And” he that believeth on me…

Shall never Thirst…

There is no other place like this Destination!

The two strongest powers in the human body-

Hunger and Thirst…

Which are identically mirrored in the spiritual man!

Spiritually- Hunger and Thirst will be eliminated completely!

At this Destination…

And the Spirit says “Come”

Be Careful What You Ask

(Ps 106:14-15)

14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.

15 And he gave them *their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

Unbridled Lust is uncontrolled Desires…

Lust is the step just beyond what has been given by God!

Really the child in us never seems to die-

Wanting more than what we already have…

One of the greatest battles is winning the one of

“when we see something we want”

And not trying to touch it…

Exceeding Lusts that we just can’t seem to reach-

Turn into Requests to God…

Be careful of what you ask!

It could turn into a curse for you…

You should rather ask-

“Lord is it Your Will?”

And then be content with His answer…

It may not be Yes, it might be a-

⁃ No

⁃ Not Now

He Knows What’s Best (for You)…

Even though someone else may receive what you had asked for.

Be Careful What You Ask…

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

(2Co 3:18)

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a *glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

(The glass is a Mirror)

Not just any Mirror-

“But the Word of God”

Which is a Mirror that reflects back an Image (different) than any other kind of Mirror!

In this Mirror we are-

“open faced”

Meaning with an (unveiled face)

A Face with no disguises or covering…

In This Mirror it is not our reflection-

But Christ’s Image!

To Look fully into This Mirror is to Allow it to change Us

Into His Image…

To His Glory!

The More You Look the More You are Changed-

From Glory to Glory!

Spend more time in this Mirror than the other mirror…

The later reveals the weathered past and declining future.

*Whereas this Mirror has the potential to (Permanently)

change you… into His Glory!

Consequences or Rewards?

(Pr 14:14)

14 The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

A backslider reaps the whirlwind, a whirlwind of destruction.

Living Backslid means what happens in your life are the (results) and or (consequences) of carnal-(absent of God), fleshly decisions (which only have Consequences).

Whereas a “Good Man”

Because he is Good-

Is Living off the Blessings that God has placed in Him…

Thus they are not so much Consequences as they are

“Benefits Of the Righteous”

and are even Blessings or Rewards…

Because God Blesses(Rewards) what He likes.

Consequences or Rewards

The Choice is Yours…

Slander - Words Without Proof

(Ps 101:5)

[5] Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.

Slander Are Words Without Proof…

Slander is meant to give an inaccurate description…

The very basis of Slander is birthed from an High Look and a Proud Heart!

God’s Remedy is-  **Reform or be Cut Off**

Often when we are offended with someone, that very offense warps and skews how we see them…

Then when we describe the said (individual) we describe them as

“We See” them…

Thus Slander is born, even if it was not the original intent.

But because of the Mechanism of Emotion, now in play, it Changes the Real into the Perceived…

This fatal flaw will cause God to seek to bring Judgment on You!

God’s 3 Step Program for Reconciliation

(Mt 18:15-17)

[15] ¶ Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.

[16] But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

[17] And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

Why does making things right seem so tedious and hard?

Because if left Alone-

Then things remain “Wrong”

God’s entire Eternal Plan (was), (is), and (to come)-

Is always making things Right…

Man and the devil are proficient at “Wrong”

And God is all about providing and making things Right!

That is one reason He is Known as-

⁃ The Prince of Peace

⁃ Peacemaker

⁃ The Calm in the Storm

⁃ The angels sung: On earth peace, good will toward men.

Making things right is the modicum of Christ!

3 Step Program:

1. Go and tell him the problem, alone- (Step 2 is only needed if he will not hear you…)

2. Then take 2 or 3 witnesses                            (and then if that does not work)

3. Take it to the Church

1 Peter 4:11

But I Don’t Have a Problem

(Mt 5:23-24)

23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

But You Do Have a Problem…

When we approach God with our offering of worship and or sacrifice and we “remember”-

Remembering that our brother has a problem with us,

God says- leave your offering and go make things right, 1st.

Then and only then can we continue…

Quite a conundrum when all you wanted to do was offer your sacrifice!

*Yet… this is what God requires-

And to top it off, there is no mention if the said (offense) was legitimate  or imagined!

Simple instruction **Go and reconcile** regardless of the circumstances.

So the often used maxim

“I don’t have the problem, they do”

Does not hold water with Christ!

But you do have a problem- Now!

God will not accept your worship until you fix it…
