Time is Like Sand

(Ep 5:15-16)

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Another translation-

So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity.

Time like sand when you try to hold on to it, it just slips through your fingers, with very little sticking to your hands…

Redeeming the Time is to use it (the short time) while you have it or it will quickly slip through your hands.

The Fool- cares not and foolishly wastes it enjoying short lived pleasures and putting off until tomorrow the weightier work.

The Wise-Redeem the Time, knowing how quickly it will pass through their hands knowing that

(God-Based) decisions empower us against the Evil Days…

It’s Not all About You

(Ro 14:7)

For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

This generation is obsessed with “Self”

From the raising our children with this false expectation that everything they do is glorious to affirming our own (worth) when no one else does…

This Obsession becomes a spiritual pitfall and trap.

In reality or in the real scheme of things-

“It Is Not All About You”

The need for Self Confidence is Over rated-

When what we really need is an ever growing Dependance on Christ,

And Lack of Confidence on yourself…

NOT- I Can Do Anything-

But Rather- Through Christ All Things are Possible!

au contraire mon ami-

Lending a helping hand is better than receiving a helping hand…

Consequences of Your Sin

(1Sa 31:2)

And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and

*the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul's sons.

The world has convinced us that we are masters of our own destines…

Which is actually a doctrine of satan…

He (God) is the only Master-

Who has a Will and a Purpose for every man!

And thus in all reality we should be following His Plan not Ours.

When we fail to do this then we are in rebellion to our Master-

Thus the Consequences are epic in proportion!

Our decisions are not limited to you alone, rather they affect your entire Family…

King Saul’s sons were by all accounts good young men,

Just caught up in the whirlwind of their father’s rebellion!

Even Jonathan, David’s best friend was caught in the rip-tide.

One man’s crisis became his sons untimely death on the battlefield of Mount Gilboa-

King Saul’s final battle…

⁃ Don’t say that your decisions will not affect your family, they surely will, but not in a good way…

⁃ Don’t say they can make up their own minds when they grow up-

*They might not be able to because they got caught up in the consequences of your judgment from God!

Promise with Benefits

(Ps 57:3)

He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

Reproach that would swallow me up…

(Slanderous evil intentions)

God will save you from these…

With benefits!

Along with the deliverance He will send along His-

“Mercy and Truth”

But first and before they come you must do as it is written in this song-

Pause-(Selah)…Rest

Stop and Pause every other reaction and Just hit the Pause button…

Then Two Mighty Gifts-(Benefits) of God will come…

(His) Mercy and (His) Truth!

The Greatest Destination

(Jn 6:35)

35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Destination- a set point whether in distance physically or spiritually…

Jesus stated “he that cometh to me”

Meaning we are not there yet…

But if we will begin to travel in that direction, when we get there-

We shall “Never Hunger”

There is no other place like this Destination!

And along the Journey to this Destination and or upon arrival to this Destination

The word “and” -translated-(moreover or also)

“And” he that believeth on me…

Shall never Thirst…

There is no other place like this Destination!

The two strongest powers in the human body-

Hunger and Thirst…

Which are identically mirrored in the spiritual man!

Spiritually- Hunger and Thirst will be eliminated completely!

At this Destination…

And the Spirit says “Come”

Be Careful What You Ask

(Ps 106:14-15)

14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.

15 And he gave them *their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

Unbridled Lust is uncontrolled Desires…

Lust is the step just beyond what has been given by God!

Really the child in us never seems to die-

Wanting more than what we already have…

One of the greatest battles is winning the one of

“when we see something we want”

And not trying to touch it…

Exceeding Lusts that we just can’t seem to reach-

Turn into Requests to God…

Be careful of what you ask!

It could turn into a curse for you…

You should rather ask-

“Lord is it Your Will?”

And then be content with His answer…

It may not be Yes, it might be a-

⁃ No

⁃ Not Now

He Knows What’s Best (for You)…

Even though someone else may receive what you had asked for.

Be Careful What You Ask…

Mirror Mirror on the Wall

(2Co 3:18)

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a *glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

(The glass is a Mirror)

Not just any Mirror-

“But the Word of God”

Which is a Mirror that reflects back an Image (different) than any other kind of Mirror!

In this Mirror we are-

“open faced”

Meaning with an (unveiled face)

A Face with no disguises or covering…

In This Mirror it is not our reflection-

But Christ’s Image!

To Look fully into This Mirror is to Allow it to change Us

Into His Image…

To His Glory!

The More You Look the More You are Changed-

From Glory to Glory!

Spend more time in this Mirror than the other mirror…

The later reveals the weathered past and declining future.

*Whereas this Mirror has the potential to (Permanently)

change you… into His Glory!
