The Prideful Lost

Luke 6:41 (KJV)

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Nothing worse than trying to convince a Prideful Person that you are not the only one with a problem-

The following is a contribution of something I read-

A bright red sports car screeched to a halt at a country crossroads, and the driver shouted to an old man sitting on a bench, “Can you direct me to London, please?” “No, I can't,” he replied. “Then which road to Oxford?” he asked. “Can't rightly say,” answered the old man. “You don't know much, do you?” asked the young man sarcastically. “No, I don't know much,” replied the uncommunicative local man. “But I'm not lost!”

Some seem to have all the answers and are presumptuous towards others-

And then are annoyed when you don't have a ready answer for them!

You Can Determine How Your Day Will Be

(Pr 15:15)

15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.

Afflicted doesn’t always mean “Real” but, it could include both real and (how you imagine)…

Afflicted also means (tormented)-

Too often when given a choice of our attitude when (bad) happens, we choose Bad…

Yet you claim that you’re smarter because you do not “pretend”

I say: Your less smart because you’re allowing the present problem to dictate your feelings…

All the days of the Afflicted are “Evil”

Every Day You Feel “Afflicted” that is an Evil Day!

Rather than be (Afflicted) choose rather to be Blessed- even on Bad Days…

Because the Bible says it rains on the just and the unjust alike…

The scripture is telling us “BUT”

He that is of a merry heart “hath a continual feast”

Everyday is a Banquet-

Like a Banquet or Buffet, I can choose what I want…

Make some Lemonade today…

What Can Man Do Unto Me?

(Ps 118:6)

6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

I Will Not Fear…

Fear:

⁃ The result of not having confidence of safety

⁃ Anxiety of not being able to survive a threat

The Lord is on your Side-

Meaning: He is so all powerful…

That when He is on your side, Nothing Can Overpower You!

You Can Shout to Your Enemy “What Can You Do to Me!”

Threaten taunt and torment but when the Lord is on your side

Man can do nothing-

Fear’s (strength and power) is dependent on your doubt and unbelief in the Lord…

But if you Believe, there is no weapon formed against us that will prosper!

What Can Man Do Unto Me When the Lord is On My Side?

NOTHING…

Ethnic Cleansing

(Ep 2:14)

14For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Another Translation-

14For Christ himself has brought peace to us. He united Jews and Gentiles into one people when, in his own body on the cross, he broke down the wall of hostility that separated us.

Ethnic Cleansing-

Around the world is Heinous…

**(Annihilation)of a People  of a different ethnicity**

God’s Ethnic Cleansing is

“Altogether Different”

Taking 2 Complete Different Ethnicities and

Washing and Changing Them-

Into One…

(Jew and Gentile)

One People

One Race

Christians…

(Ge 17:23)

And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin (in the selfsame day), as God had said unto him.

Abraham [did] ...

as God told him!

Ours not to make reply,

Ours not to reason why,

Ours but to do and die.

Obedience is the fruit of faith;

patience is the early blossom on the tree of faith.

Time is Like Sand

(Ep 5:15-16)

15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Another translation-

So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity.

Time like sand when you try to hold on to it, it just slips through your fingers, with very little sticking to your hands…

Redeeming the Time is to use it (the short time) while you have it or it will quickly slip through your hands.

The Fool- cares not and foolishly wastes it enjoying short lived pleasures and putting off until tomorrow the weightier work.

The Wise-Redeem the Time, knowing how quickly it will pass through their hands knowing that

(God-Based) decisions empower us against the Evil Days…

It’s Not all About You

(Ro 14:7)

For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

This generation is obsessed with “Self”

From the raising our children with this false expectation that everything they do is glorious to affirming our own (worth) when no one else does…

This Obsession becomes a spiritual pitfall and trap.

In reality or in the real scheme of things-

“It Is Not All About You”

The need for Self Confidence is Over rated-

When what we really need is an ever growing Dependance on Christ,

And Lack of Confidence on yourself…

NOT- I Can Do Anything-

But Rather- Through Christ All Things are Possible!

Lending a helping hand is better than receiving a helping hand…
