Nowhere to Hide

Proverbs 21:9

[9] It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

Escaping a Brawl or Trouble seems Second Only to Finding a Place Where God is not Present…(He is Everywhere)

Trouble Happens to Everyone, In Church or Not in Church…

Escape Seems Impossible-

Biblical Wisdom Says That a Woman Intent On a Brawl in a Wide House is Not Sufficient to Escape…

But Rather at Best, the Uncomfortable Corner in a Roof Top or Attic is “Preferable” than Trying to escape a brawl in a Wide House…

The analogy was meant as an (Observation of Choice) when a Woman is Intent on a  Brawl…

It was not Validating the Woman, but Advising that there was no other recourse for the man.

*Wisdom- Do Not Be the Negative Object of One of God’s Lessons of Life…

I’d rather be the man counseled and uncomfortable in the attic…

Curiosity Killed the Cat

Proverbs 21:16

16 The man that (wandereth) out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

⁃ Curiosity is Wondering “If”

⁃ Curiosity is Wondering “Why”

⁃ Curiosity is Wondering “Where”

Once You “Understand” Truth and Salvation It Is Important not to Wander Away…

Because “Curiosity Killed the Cat”

Once You Have Found Peace and Contentment It Is Important to not Wander Away…

Because “Curiosity Killed the Cat”

When You Wander Away form What You Know or “Understanding”

You End Up in a New Congregation of the Dead…

Better to Remain Content in the Congregation of Life and Live!

Than to Let “Curiosity” Kill You…

In The End

1 Corinthians 13:13

[13] And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

After All is Done and Christ and His Kingdom is Complete-(in you)

There Remains These Three Main Players-

⁃ Faith

⁃ Hope

⁃ Charity

But the Greatest is Charity…

Because Without “Charity” or Love

Faith and Hope are Incomplete!

Faith - is the Ability to Not Only Believe But to Have Confidence

Hope - is the Substance That Makes Up Faith, and So Without Hope There is No Faith…

But the “Glue” That Holds All These Together is “Charity”

The One Thing That is Mentioned in the Ten Commandments and Reiterated Gloriously Again in A Much Greater Measure by Christ

As “All the law and prophets hang by”

This One New Commandment-

(Love thy neighbor as thy self)

In (The End) Without the Glue All Else Will Fall Apart!

The Greatest of These is “Charity”-(Love)

Caught Up in the Moment

Psalms 37:1-2

[1] (A Psalm of David.) Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

[2] For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Viewing Life from the Moment is Much Different Than Viewing Life

Long-Term…

An Airplane’s View is Much Different Than Standing on the Earth…

While It Seems the Wicked and Evil Doers are Living the Life of Happiness-

Don’t Fret or Be Envious, Because Their Reward is On the Way…

Their Happiness is But For a Moment!

And the Righteous Shall Have Not Only Eternal Happiness One Day,

But They Will Enjoy “Safety” from Evil Until They Get There!

Do Not Get Caught Up in the Moment, When Eternity Awaits You…

1 Peter 4:11

Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God

Psalms 37:4

4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

The Title is From the New Testament But It Has an Old Testament Foundation and Origin.

When One “Delights” Themselves in the Lord, There is No End to the Blessings…

⁃ First…You can’t out give God!

⁃ Secondly…. When you encompass your world with the Lord, then you will not have to ask for most things you want!

(Just as a young newly appointed king named Solomon found out one day in prayer )

*People Who Always Have a List for the Lord Of Things They Need…

Are Usually Those Who Failed to-

(Seek 1st the Kingdom of God)

**Because People Who-

“Seek first the kingdom of God”

“Delight themselves in the Lord”

Need Not Ask- Because Their Father is Already Giving Them Their Desires…

How to Avoid Trouble

Proverbs 21:23

23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Whosoever- Guards his (Mouth and his Tongue)

To Guard does not mean to completely permanently shut it…

But to place a Guard at the door!

A Guard is one who regulates access and exit from within…

Some people apparently have never gotten “The Memo”

And thus the mouth and tongue have no one standing guard!

These people are always in trouble…

They “Believe” that if they think it, they must by all means “Speak It”

You May Love Trouble?

But I Have Enough Without My Being Negligent in Forgetting to Place a Guard at My Mouth to Keep My Tongue in Check…

Place a Guard Today at Your Mouth’s Entrance and Exit to Control Your Tongue…

And You Will Enjoy More Peace and Less Trouble…

1 Peter 4:11

They Almost Sound Like Us

Judges 12:6

6 Then said they unto him, Say now Shibboleth: and he said Sibboleth: for he could not frame to pronounce it right. Then they took him, and slew him at the passages of Jordan: and there fell at that time of the Ephraimites forty and two thousand.

The true test was a simple pronunciation of one word!

Not Everyone that says they are a “Christian” is one!

You see many pronounce it differently than the Real Christians-

They Sound Similar but there is a slight difference in the sound!

A slight “Pronunciation” Difference…

Being a Christian has become a very broad label…

With Many Pronunciations-

And Yet True Christians are Identified by God Immediately!

Many Are Called but Few Are Chosen…

Many will say in that day that they were Christian but Jesus will say

“I Never Knew You”

They Were Close But Not Close Enough!
