DURING YOUR WORST STORM

Manasseh and Ephraim

Genesis 41:51-52

[51] And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house.

[52] And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.

Job was Known for his Trials

Joseph was Known for His (Trying) and (Providing)…

Joseph, A Captive in a Foreign Land Rises to Ruler!

But in the Midst of His Exile from all that was Familiar

God Sends Him Two Sons-

“Manasseh and Ephraim”

⁃ He said of Manasseh “God hath made me to *Forget”         Forget all my struggles and what I miss about home…

⁃ He said of Ephraim “God hath caused me to be *Fruitful”          In the very World that has Afflicted Me…

Have you considered?

That God Not Only Can Bring You Your Very Own

(Manasseh and Ephraim)

During Your Worst Storm?

*But Be Preparing (You) to (Provide) Help One Day

For the Very People Who Betrayed You?

Don’t throw in the towel yet, because it may be…

That there’s  a “Manasseh or Ephraim” around the next bend in the road….

Known

Mathew 12:33

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for *(the tree is known by his fruit).

Known-Past participle for Know: recognized or familiar

The key here is not the fruit but rather the (Tree)

The pharisees were making accusations against Jesus

not the miracle (fruit).

Discounting Christ as not good even though He just produced a Miracle (fruit)

Jesus knowing their evil inconsistencies was pointing out Their Error!

“Either make the (Tree)-Good, because the fruit was Good”

Or

“Make the (Tree)-Corrupt and It’s Fruit corrupt”…

The Miracle was proof of Christ’s Goodness!

The Same Can Be Said of Us!

You Are (Known) by Your Fruit-

All recognize you by what you produce not what you say!

In other words Jesus was saying “You’re really attacking Me” not  the Miracle-(Good)

But your conclusion (to attack me) is skewed and (inconsistent)

Because…

A Good Tree Produces Good Fruit

A Corrupt Tree Produces Corrupt Fruit

“the tree is (known) by his fruit”

The Early Bird Gets a Worm

Proverbs 19:2

2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.

Or-

AMPLIFIED

2 Desire without knowledge is not good, and to be overhasty is to sin and miss the mark.

Being First is Not Always Best…

Unless you like worms?

⁃ Desire unequipped without Knowledge can be a disaster

⁃ Zeal is Important but it is not Everything

⁃ Movement doesn’t always mean Moving

⁃ Being 1st may bring Regrets

Starting Without Knowledge Might Just Leave You With Worms…

Pray-Listen-Plan-Research-Execute

This may take a little longer, but well worth the wait…

IN QUIETNESS AND CONFIDENCE

Isaiah 30:15

15 For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in

(quietness and in confidence shall be your strength):

and ye would not.

The urge to just do something overwhelms the conclusion that in “rest” you will be saved.

Like choosing to drive on moving side streets instead of sitting in traffic on a highway…

Some feel like just doing something is better than doing nothing…

That may apply at work but could be disastrous (Life Wise)

Waiting on God is More Prosperous than Doing it Yourself!

*Better to be Two Steps Behind God than One Step in Front…

Let Quietness and Confidence Be Your “Strength”

Wheres “Activity” Be Your Downfall…

Expiration Dates

Daniel 4:3

3 How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! (his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom), and his dominion is from generation to generation.

In this world all things existing have an “Expiration Date”

⁃ As the Ages Have Passed

⁃ Millenniums have blinked

⁃ Kingdoms and Empires have come and gone

⁃ Kings and Conquerors are but dust in the wind

The American  Dream and the Experiment called Democracy

Will one day pass and Expire-

But One Kingdom that is Without End,

Is the Kingdom of God…

And Jesus Will Remain King of Kings Forever…

Time will hold no power on His Kingdom for Time is but an instrument in His Hand!

Expiration Date? There is None…

Every Man Must Choose

Which Kingdom to Invest In…

A Divine or a Temporal?

An Eternal or Temporary?

Expiring or Everlasting?

The Choice is Yours…

God Never Forgets Unrepented Sin

Revelation 16:19 (KJV)

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Many many Centuries have passed, yea even world powers and entire civilizations have come, conquered and then disappeared from the face of the earth!

And yet here in the book of Revelations, God- “Remembers”

and is Calling Their “Sin” to the Judgment to be Judged!

You May Do Many Good Works and Accomplish Great Things for Good-

But if You Never “Repent” ask for Forgiveness and (stop and make a 180 degree turn)

Nothing will really Matter…

⁃ Accept Christ

⁃ Believe on Him

⁃ Quote Scripture

⁃ Live Better

⁃ Talk Sweeter

But If You Never “Repent” of Your Sins

Then it is all for Nothing…

Because God Cannot be Bribed or Bargained with-

He First Requires (Repent)…

God Never Forgets Sin

Until It is Repented of…

Remember because God Will!

New Year’s Day

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; (behold, all things are become) *new.

New Year’s Day signifies the beginning of a New Year on its first Day… thus New Year’s Day!

Why does it seem sometimes like nothing is really (New) but the same old thing?

It is Because we are constantly dragging (Old) things from the Last year into the New Year!

We Bring Baggage-

So the New Year Becomes (Accessorized) with not only last year’s stuff but the accumulation of many years…

The “Only” way to truly put out the old and bring in the New is done (Supernaturally) not Traditionally…

The (New Birth) experience really does mean-

“Out with the Old and in with the New”

But this is not (Naturally) done! You only fool yourself…

This is a “God Thing” (Supernatural)…

Evan after you have been (Born Again) there is a “renewing” called (repentance) of sins committed, where the (Advocate) of our souls makes mediation for us all!

Then…. Communion and Foot Washing-

Communion which re establishes our (Commonality)-communing with- and Commitment with Christ…

Foot Washing-

washing away again, all the attached grime from where we have walked through our life this year…

And proving our (obedience) and (humility) by the Act of “Doing” and “Allowing”

“New” Year or a Day or even Life, is a choice only you can make-

Resulting from your Declaration!
