Milestones or Daily Recipe?

Milestones-

Are markers of accomplishments, or the measurement of distance traveled, or a measurement to the next destination.

Many never make it from one marker to the other in the Journey….

Whereas a Daily Recipe is a part of your life…

If you are following Christ then you must *Take up your cross Daily…

“Everyday”

Thank God for Last Nights Service or Yesterday’s Victory!

But, What Are You Doing Today?

If You’re Going to Live for God

Then You Will Have to, Though Painfully Struggling

Take Up (Your) Cross

Again Today!

Living for God is a Daily Practice

Not a (Milestone) Along the Way

But Rather a Daily Practice…

Apostle and Traitor

Luke 6:13 and 16

16 And Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

“JUDAS ISCARIOT”

Called by Jesus to be an Apostle-

Chose to be a Traitor….

Matthew 22:14 said-

For many are called, but *few are chosen.

*(Few choose to come)

Don’t sell your Birthright Esau!

For a bowl of soup…

Judas sold his Apostleship for 30 pieces of silver…

The scripture said Jesus (chose) the 12, which included Judas!

*Jesus had more Hope for Him

Then He had Sand to Stand!

Don’t Throw Away (His) Hope for You,

In Exchange for Worthless Trinkets…

was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

How Could Two Entire Cities End Up the Ire of God’s Disdain?

Pride

Fulness of Bread

Led Them to the Condition of an (Abundance of Idleness)

Too Much Free Time Can Destroy You!

Because Any Exertion to Change Requires Leaving the Comfort Zone

In This Scripture Text, (New Wine) Was Determined That

It Could Not Be Put Into (Old Bottles)…

That Meant a Change in the Bottle Too!

“New Wine Meant New Bottle”

Until You Taste the “New Wine”

Just like In Our Scripture Text Your Saying, “The Old is Better”

Don’t Let (Familiar) Trap You!

And Miss Out On the Unbelievable Changes That Come With the “New Wine”

It’s No Wonder Most of Pentecost No Longer

Requires a (Bottle Change)???

Because They’re Still Serving Old Wine…

Suffering in the Promise Land

Numbers 33:55 (KJV)

But if ye will not drive out the (inhabitants) of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, (that those which ye let remain) of them shall be pricks in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the land wherein ye dwell.

Coming from Egypt to Receive the Promise Land was a Given from God!

But It Did Require Removing Alien Elements Contrary to God…

Or Else They Would Be-

Pricks in Your Eyes

Thorns in Your Sides

Vexing (constant torment)

When You Were “Born Again” You Literally Left (Egypt) and Came to the Promise Land (Spiritually)

But It’s Still Up to You to Remove All Things (Alien) to God…

Just a Thought….

Your Battles May Not Be With the Devil?

It May Be Because You Compromised and Left Some

Proverbs 25:18 (KJV)

A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour is a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow.

Another Translation-

Telling lies about others is as harmful as hitting them with an ax, wounding them with a sword, or shooting them with a sharp arrow.

A Lie May for the Moment Get You Off the (Hot-Seat)

Save you from Embarrassment or Excuse Your Behavior

But the (Damage) Can Be Devastating to Someone Else!

The Bible is so Very Grievous in Revealing the Consequences…

• Don’t Exaggerate

• Don’t Embellish

• Don’t Stretch

Who Cares if the Report Isn’t Alarming or as Exciting!

The (Truth) is Better than a thousand Untruths…

There Will Be (Consequences) of Lies…

And You Could Be the Reason for Pain!

Jeremiah 2:13

A Certain Cause, that Results in a Double Payment…

In this case God is Upset, Because Not Only Have You

Forsaken (Him)

Who is “(The) Fountain of Living Waters”

But on Top of That, as if That wasn’t Enough-

You Think to Substitute This (Abandonment)

By Making Your Own Vessels-

To Hold Water that are Broken and Leak

Double Indemnity- As if the First Error Wasn’t Bad Enough

Substitution Slaps God in the Face!

Obedience Won’t Work!

Because One Abandonment Leads to Substitution That Won’t Hold Water… Anytime!
