Your Words Matter

Matthew 12:36 (KJV)

But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

• Some People are Quick to Give Advice

• Some People are Quick to Give a piece of Their Mind

• Some People are Quick Tempered

Your Words Matter Because They Will Be Weighed and Judged on Judgement Day…

Be Careful, Because What You Say does Matter…

God is Writing It Down!

The Danger of Talking Too Much

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 18:21 (AMP)

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

Over Exposure Can Cause Death

In Many Instances…

The Longer You Are Exposed the Greater is the Potential for Trouble.

People Who Talk Too Much Are Likely to Cause More Harm Than Good…

Short Fused

Proverbs 14:17

[17] He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly:

and a man of wicked devices is hated.

The quick tempered

The easily angered

The hot heads

The short fused

Are but fools of their own demise…

They are the architects of their own destruction and misery!

“Dealing Foolishly” is not a desirable character trait-

And should not be once named among Christians!

(Short Fuse and Long Suffering)

are polarized opposites, An  Oxymoron…

Love Keeps No Record

1 Corinthians 13:5-6

[5] Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

[6] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Another translation-

[Love] does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.

There are two kinds of “Love”

Human love

Godly Love

Human love is limited and slanted to accommodate man’s earthly comprehension.

God’s Love knows no limits and has no boarders

Christ in us produces (Charity) which should in every way supersede what we know as love…

Real Charity and or Love Keeps No Records!

He doesn’t and We shouldn’t…

Don’t Forget About Mercy

Hosea 2:23 (KJV)

And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.

Hosea’s writing description from God

Regarding a woman (wife)

Whose deplorable actions of whoredom left her lost and broken…

And a God who looks through the deceit and betrayal

With eyes of Mercy…

Can you see yourself in this scripture?

I see myself…

How much more should we also show mercy to others who have wronged us?

When you say “Thou art my God”

Don’t forget about mercy…

No Faith

Deuteronomy 32:20 (KJV)

And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very froward generation, children in whom is no faith.

*Froward -means head strong and difficult to work with..

A Generation that think they know it all or refuse to yield to guidance!

Whereas Faith Requires a Nature that “Trusts” (not in themselves) but in higher powers-(God)…

Faithless People Cannot Be Taught (unless it agrees with them).

Faithless People are Froward and Headstrong

And God Will Hide His Face from Them…

Be Careful That While You Claim to Have Faith

You Actually Refuse Guidance and Correction…

Don’t Be a Generation in Whom is “No Faith”

Altars

Genesis 22:9 (KJV)

And they came to the place which God had told him of; and (Abraham built an altar) there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, (and laid him on the altar) upon the wood.

Altars were not just places to Pray-

But they were places that combined both Prayer and Sacrifice.

Altars were also Personal not just at the Temple or Tabernacle!

“Men that were Renown and Close to God”

*Built their own Altars…

They represented a significant place in their lives both in location and time-(spiritually)

Where Are Your Altars?

And *What is on Your Altar?

“Abraham built an altar and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar ...”

Is (Your All) On the Altar or Just Some Things You Can Live Without?

Great Men of God Place All That They Have and Hold Precious, on Altars Built for God…

Just as Abraham did!

Abraham did not wait for a crisis before he built his altars but on the contrary, he was willing at the height of his wealth and heritage, to offer what he deemed precious and his future…

Where Are Your Altars?
