1 John 4:1

1 Beloved, (believe not every spirit), but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

1 Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

Every spirit—which presents itself in the person of a prophet…

The term (spirit) was used to express the man who pretended to be and teach under the Spirit's influence.

Test All Prophecies and All Things by-

The Word of God…

If It’s Not in the Bible and or Does not Point You Toward God and or Jesus Christ-

Then It is a False Spirit..

No Matter Who Represents It!

I cannot count the times people have started out their statements with “The Lord Told Me”  or “The Holy Ghost Said” or “I Prayed About This”

Do Not Believe Every Spirit…

BTW… any other is just your emotions and feelings-

I wouldn’t trust them either unless they can  Pass the Test!
