The lure of this “present world”has the power and persuasion to pull even the elite, even those closest to the Apostle Paul!
The pull and persuasion of this “Present World” is still a great danger to your walk with God.

Luke 19:17 (KJV)
[17] And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
Most Estimate Faithfulness by how much you have.
But God estimates Faithfulness by what you do...
Faithful in little means faithful in much not the other way around!
If you cannot be depended on for the little things then you will never be trusted with the big things....
Start with something small today and see what God will do.
Before David killed his Goliath defending a Nation he had to first defend and protect a little flock of sheep!

[15] And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
[16] But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
The Destination must be Greater than feelings of homesick...
The Desire for a better place must erase heartsick feelings for the past.
Beware that the feelings of this life do not overwhelm the desire of Heaven!
God is not ashamed of you and is making Preparations for your arrival!

The Situation was Dire and could not be darker.
The enemy seemed triumphant!
Jesus had died, with seemingly all their hopes and dreams.
Then intending to memorialize the final remains in a cave they find no body... assuming it was stolen!
Then... They Remembered His Words!
Then Sorrow turned to Joy and Triumph.
Then the Son Broke Through the Clouds and The Promise of a Better Day was at hand!
Mumbled words of defeat turned into shouts of Triumph!
